Settings -> Advanced -> About, should be moved to Settings -> Advanced -> Information -> About

in relation to bug 5437...sort of releated, however the About applet should stick around in its current incarnation. It's a controller-only applet, and is useful as a source of basic information about the controller when not connected to a server (revision # and mac address are reported in it)

I don't see why such a technical argument should count against this bug. The purpose is to provide information and I can not see that the information provided here is so different as to warrant 2 nodes. I also think the reduced number of menu items is a good thing. If the controller is not connected, then just show only "About". This is how the root menu works. Actually I also suggest renaming to  "About Controller".
