Description Ben Klaas 2008-10-02 08:19:52 UTC
what I propose to do is this:

when the controller is disconnected from a player (e.g., press-hold left):
1. remove Settings->Music Source
2. add Settings->Advanced->Connect to Remote Server

new item would take user directly into IP text entry, exactly the same window/code as Settings->Music Source->Other Server

when the controller is connected to a player (e.g. after Choose Player):
1. remove Settings->Advanced->Connect to Remote Server
2. add Settings->Music Source (which includes "Other Server")

The issue with how we have it now is that we are presenting the user with Settings->Music Source when not connected to a player. The only function of this item in this context is entering an SC IP address for an SC not on the controller's LAN. If that's not the case, is it won't be for 99% of users, the menu item is not only useless but confusing as to its function.
