Description Marc Auslander 2008-10-02 08:02:50 UTC
After the firmware update to 48, I'm suddenly seeing signal strength of 10-20%. Before the upgrade it was 70% This is related to the restart, but I've seen a similar situation with 47, so it's not anything that's changed.

I don't believe the reported signal. The receiver works fine, and network test runs 100% at 4000kb. This is on a B network, by the way.

The first time, after several restarts of the router and the receiver, it "fixed" itself. This time, so far, restarting both did not change the reported signal.

Anything I can do to help figure this out?

Router is Linksys WRT54G V2.0

Now, not much later, the receiver is reporting 70%.

One thing I changed this time, but not last time, was having both my access points on the same wireless channel. I have no idea if this is related.

By not last time, I mean that last time the condition cleared even though both AP's stayed on the same channel.

There's nothing I can think of to have you do otherwise. We'll have a look as time allows and leave this bug set to 'monitor' so that support and other users can contribute.
