Description Michael Valera 2008-09-29 14:55:58 UTC
From the forum:

"I just pulled up the synchronize menu in Squeezecenter (SC 7.2 on Win XP)and noticed it only listed the first 14 players with no button to go to a second page. How do I get to the rest of my players when setting up synchronization?"
Comment 1 James Richardson 2008-09-29 20:14:03 UTC
QA to verify. Check WebUI as well as Player UI for max sync limit.
Comment 2 Chris Owens 2008-10-06 10:06:30 UTC
Michael Herger notes this works okay in the web ui, just not in the player UI
Comment 3 Spies Steven 2008-10-07 15:50:23 UTC
I am not seeing a player limitation after adding 36 players to one server. I am able to navigate to all the players through the synchronize menu on the web interface, controller interface and the player interface.

Is it possible that some of the players were connected to SqueezeNetwork directly at the time?

Tested with SqueezeCenter 7.2 - 22900

I am in the web interface looking at my list of players. There are 16 players in the list and none are connected to Squeezenetwork. When I go the the bottom of the list and select synchronize I get a pop-up box that shows a list of 14 1/2 players. (The 14th is cut in half and only the top part of the name is visible). There is no way to scroll or resize the box to display the remaining players.

Thank you for the screen shoot, this looks like a WEB UI issue, can you try another web browser, like FireFox to verify that the list box populates properly with a scroll bar?
Comment 9 upstatemike 2008-10-07 19:09:53 UTC
Confirmed the issue still exists on XP using IE6. Additionally the player list will sometimes disappear completely and clicking on the currently selected player does not open the list. A browser refresh appears to clear that problem. This issue (and the original truncated synchronization list) was consistently reproduced on 2 different XP/IE6 systems.

I don't have a system with a non-Microsoft browser available for comparison but the problem happens with both Vista/IE7 1680 X 1050 32 bit resolution and XP/IE6 1024 X 768 32bit.

Re-verified issue in Vista/IE7 as well as reproducing the situation where clicking the player dropdown just says "Select Player" and a browser refresh is required to get the dropdown to display.

The Truncated synchronize list is consistent with 3 different systems as noted earlier. Also went into settings - player - synchronization, and verfied that no players are currently synchronized. Also verified that all players are available to synchronize from there. Looks like I can work from the settings menu as a workaround.

We've had other issues with IE not displaying scroll bars. Might need a similar fix here. I only have to find out how I could grow my list of players...
Comment 12 Michael Herger 2008-10-08 04:10:10 UTC
change 23461 - make player list in sync dialog scroll when too long to be fully displayed

Please note that this dialog very likely is going to change until the 7.3 release.

Steven to verify.
Comment 14 Spies Steven 2008-12-05 15:30:28 UTC
Verified with 7.3
Comment 15 James Richardson 2008-12-15 12:37:02 UTC
This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter!

Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already.

If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.
