server.log during update

After the update to 23265 and 23302 (and likely at least a couple before), slimserver keeps trying to restart with mysql error. The only way I found to cure it is to reboot the machine after install. In which case I assume the update package should be marked as requiring reboot.

To the best of my knowledge, the installation of xubuntu ws plain vanilla.

The log is attached.

Lugrin: Do you have apparmor enabled? or use apparmor?
Comment 3 bitli 2008-10-08 11:24:09 UTC
Apparently I have an apparmor running

root@canard:/etc/init.d# ./apparmor status
apparmor module is loaded.
3 profiles are loaded.
1 profiles are in enforce mode.
   /usr/sbin/mysqld
2 profiles are in complain mode.
   /usr/sbin/cupsd
   /usr/lib/cups/backend/cups-pdf
3 processes have profiles defined.
2 processes are in enforce mode :
   /usr/sbin/mysqld (5751)
   /usr/sbin/mysqld (5137)
1 processes are in complain mode.
   /usr/sbin/cupsd (5236)
0 processes are unconfined but have a profile defined.

I looked at 7580, but I am not sure what is the final status (I though the bug was considered closed). There is an update pending for installation. Do you want me to test or try anything specific before applying the update ?
