Description Dan Evans 2008-09-19 17:10:51 UTC
(from support# 080818-002276)

A customer was having trouble with his iTunes playlists not appearing. He solved the issue himself writing, "I discovered in [the] scanning log that there were problems with strange characters ... e.g. in the 'Genre' tags. So I changed all those tags and.... voilá....the playlists suddenly appeared."

I interpret what he says to mean the characters were non-Latin. (customer is Dutch.) It's unclear if this is a bug or the rescan simply caught the playlists this time. But we've had issues like this in the past, so I thought I'd write this up here.
