Description Felix Mueller 2005-03-05 04:35:27 UTC
Manually setting the player ip address to 0.0.0.0 kills SB2. Whenever the screen
with the selection for static or dynamic ip should appear the 'Problem: Ethernet
appears disconnected. Please check your ethernet connection' screen appears and
there is no way around that except reflashing SB2.
The same problem arises when trying to use DHCP, but no DHCP server is in the
network, then go back twice. Reentering the fix/dyn. ip screen is not possible.
But at least in this situation powercycling SB2 helps.
I guess the difference is in the first case 0.0.0.0 get written to the flash and
in the second case not.

As of the latest nightly, you can't make an address 0.0.0.0, forces it to 0.0.0.1
Please verify.

I can confirm the problem is gone as of revision 2463 with firmware 6.
