Description Wallace Lai 2008-09-17 16:33:14 UTC
SC Version: SqueezeCenter Version: 7.2 - 22900
Sys Info: Win 2K SP4 ENU

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install the official release build of SC 7.2 build.
2. Make sure there are at lest 1500 songs in the playlist frame of Web UI, and at least 1500 songs in the music folder. (They are the same songs.)
3. Use telnet to issue wipecache command.
4. Notice the process is done instantly. The PlayList frame is still full of songs. It almost looks like the rescanning was not performed at all.
5. Try the same command on earlier 7.2 windows build, as well as 7.2 official release bin and 7.3 23191 bin for ReadyNAS.
6. Wipecache does clear the PlayList and rescan everything. It takes a while to finish also.

Wallace are you saying you DID try this on a previous build and it DID work? Or are you saying someone SHOULD try this? Thanks.
Comment 4 Wallace Lai 2008-09-22 17:04:15 UTC
The same code ran perfectly on previous version of SC on Win2K, and still working on ReadyNAS. It is not working on the official release version of 7.2.
The test code had not been changed.
Comment 5 Chris Owens 2008-09-29 09:58:17 UTC
Chris to see what affect this is having on Wallace's projects.
Comment 6 Chris Owens 2008-11-21 15:28:25 UTC
This should not hold up the 7.3 release
Comment 7 Chris Owens 2009-01-09 08:21:22 UTC
Wallace is working on other projects at the moment.
