Bugzilla – Bug 9507
Windows installer includes confusing and useless perl source code
Last modified: 2009-07-31 10:29:58 UTC
The windows installer copies and installs all the perl code as part of the install, even though the binary .exe also includes the copy that's actually used. It shouldn't. Assigning to Tom as I'm hoping he'll be our Windows platform guru. Michael/Tom: Can you guys work out responsibility for this?
CCing Matt I think this will need to be done in the build script (buildme.pl). Did we originally include the code so users have an easier start hacking something up? I'm not even sure everything's included in the binary. Will have to test. Tom - do you already have the Perl Development Kit?

He has it now. :)
change 23212 - I've added some code to the build script to remove CPAN/lib/Slim (except for the plugins folder). Some more code was needed to have the PDK include all these modules.
This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter! Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already. If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.
