Bugzilla – Bug 9471
Nested remote playlists do not play first time around
Last modified: 2009-07-01 00:46:40 UTC
I've marked this as a 7.3 bug but it could be present in 7.2 or even 7.1. Scanning of remote nested playlists sometimes fails first time around, such that the outer playlist reports that no valid audio streams were found even though the inner playlist has (and reports in the scanner log) a valid audio stream. Playing again works fine and I suspect that this is because the playlists are now in the DB. I have no real idea what this is but I am suspicious of timing issues, perhaps related to DB commit logic.

Never seen this.
We are now planning to make a 7.3.3 release. Please review your bugs (all marked open against 7.3.3) to see if they can be fixed in the next few weeks, or if they should be retargeted for 7.4 or future. Thanks!
Since there's now a planned 7.3.3 release, bugs which won't make the cut-off are being moved to the next target out. If you feel that this bug needs to be addressed more (or less) urgently than the 7.4 release, please cc chris@slimdevices.com and leave a comment in the bug to that effect so we can review it. Thanks.
For some reason Bugzilla did not change the target when I did this yesterday. Or maybe it was me. In either case, I'm trying it again.
Still an issue?
I have not seen this for a long time. I guess it must be fixed.
