Description Dan Evans 2008-09-03 14:34:03 UTC
I have a report from a customer. (rn# 080816-000506) His artwork does all appear when views by Album or Artist. Any album artwork that does NOT appear though, if you click on the album you DO see the artwork on the track view. Then, if you back out and refresh the browser, the artwork suddenly appears correctly.

Therefore, if you go and manually click on all the albums that are missing artwork, you can fix this issue.

I have also personally seen this issue. Matt Wise also reports he's seen this issue.

I've seen this recently as well, but could not figure out why. No artwork at all following a full scan, but the thumbnail will appear if you browse to the album level and back out. This wasn't on my main server, but on two servers that I more or less cloned by copying prefs and playlists from the main one. I figured that I must have just done something odd in the setup and never fully pursued it.

I'm not sure if someone intentionally fixed something so that this is supposed to work this way, but it's certainly a welcome change. This never worked in the past. I still occasionally get randomly missing artwork when doing a new/changed scan and being able to fix it by browsing is a lot nicer than having to run a full scan to pick up the missed covers.

hello

I can reproduce this problem (on two different servers) - the problem exists since longer. I also have it on 7.3.3 -27044:

To reproduce: I have an existing library (40k+ tracks). I add a new album the library folder. Cover is stored in folder.jpg, music is in .flac

If I choose: "Look for new and changed music", the new album appears in the list of new music. Cover is missing until I click the album

If I choose: "Clear Library and rescan everything", all works fine, all albums including the new one have the cover art loaded.

Instead of scanning, I use Music Library > Music Folder and browse the the new album, all is added correct to the library.

So the issue is only with "Look for new and changed music"

Please let me know if you need any further details / logs etc.
