Description Hendrik van Antwerpen 2008-08-30 04:49:36 UTC
After updating my controller to FW 7.2 r2873 it tried to connect to my player. It kept trying, but didn't work.

After a reboot of the controller it had lost all its settings. I had only 'Music Source > Other Server' and Settings left. Filling in an IP for my server didn't do anything and the only way I found to solve it was a factory reset. After configuring my network again, I could choose my player and everything worked. I lost all my controller settings though.

Hendrick:

1) what router are you using?
2) were you upgrading from 7.1 to 7.2?
3) are you working correctly now?
Comment 2 Hendrik van Antwerpen 2008-09-04 11:29:35 UTC
- I think I was upgrading from 7.1 to 7.2, but I'm not sure.
- I have a SpeedTouch ST780 ADSL Modem/Router
- After configuring my controller again, everything works fine now.

Dan: have we gotten any support issues on this issue?

Marking bug as monitor for now, in case anyone else has these issues.
Comment 4 Dan Evans 2008-09-04 13:20:37 UTC
No, we've not heard of this specifically.

Moving monitor bugs

Had the same problem today. This time it had nothing to do with a FW update. I had some troubles with my wireless and while the Controller showed the 'Connecting to ...' screen, I interrupted it. Since I pressed Home & Back button, I don't know which one might be the problem. It returned to the menu, but was in the state described in the initial report.
Comment 7 James Richardson 2008-10-14 15:52:11 UTC
Are you holding down the back button for more then 4 seconds?
Comment 8 Hendrik van Antwerpen 2008-10-15 02:34:07 UTC
No, only a normal press (up-down in less tan a second I guess).
Comment 9 James Richardson 2009-08-11 20:18:48 UTC
I have not been able to replicate this issue after several hours of upgrades/downgrades. If you are able to replicate it and provide logs of the error then please reopen the bug and attach the logs to this bug report.
