Bugzilla – Bug 9335
multi-disc albums in same folder not sorting correctly
Last modified: 2012-02-27 17:33:33 UTC
This appears to have just popped up between 22861 (8/24/08) and the official release of 7.2 (22900, 8/26/08). When loading multi-disc albums that are in the same directory, the official 7.2 creates a playlist with the tracks sorted by TRACK/TITLE, instead of the expected DISCNUMBER/TRACK. If the different discs of the album are in separate directories, the sort is correct. With build 22861 the sort is correct whether or not the tracks are in the same directory.
Hmm, I'm getting correct sorting on 2 installations (an Intel-based Ubuntu and a debian LinkStation HG) but the wrong sorting on 1 installation (a debian LinkStation Pro). Will try to isolate problem.
Check the mysql version. there is a known bug with Mysql 5.0.45 to 5.0.51 ( i think). See bug 6748.
The two that are sorting correctly: LinkStation HG: 5.0.22-Debian_4 Ubuntu: 5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.1 The one that isn't: LinkStation Pro: 5.0.51a-3 So maybe one of the differences between 5.0.51a-3 and 5.0.51a3ubuntu5.1 is a fix for that bug?
Is it possible for you to upgrade mysql on that linkstation? *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 6748 ***
I could be wrong, but I can't find a newer debian MySQL package for ARM processors. Can anyone recommend a repository?
