Description Philip Meyer 2008-08-25 16:37:01 UTC
I enabled "Additional Playlist Buttons" interface setting. When I browse a playlist, I see the extra buttons.

However, I see two "x" icons, both with tooltips saying "Delete". The first one deletes the item from the playlist, the second one deletes the item from the now playing playlist, if it is present in the list.

That's quite confusing behaviour. I suggest the second tooltip is changed to "Remove from Now Playing". The icon image should perhaps change too.

More importantly though, I can't turn off the extra buttons interface setting. If I untick the "Additional Playlist Buttons" and apply the change and refresh the screen, the checkbox is ticked again.

There are no errors reported in the log.

This feature is not an official feature :-)

Problem here is that this inofficial feature is using the same icons/labels for the "remove from the current playlist" as for "remove from this playlist" buttons. This can lead to this confusing situation. Don't know what to do about this :-/.

Brian this sounds like a problem in need of your special brand of help.

Do you think we should keep this feature? Does it provide value? If so, what problem does it solve that is not solved otherwise?
