Error State

Don't know if the summary is correct or not, or if this is even an error.

I have noticed that when first installing SC, using IE 6/7 and no players are attached to the server, the web UI will look messed up. See attachment.

Notice the left side is scrunched up when it shouldn't be

------------

Clicking on the IE7 error link, I see the following error (see attachment: error box)

Ah... this might be the cause of the "left pane doesn't expand" issue seen in IE sometimes. I'll have to investigate this. Does this only happen with no player attached?
Comment 2 Michael Herger 2008-08-27 02:49:35 UTC
James - can you easily reproduce this error? I've tried with IE6/7/8, but didn't get any error message :-(
Comment 3 James Richardson 2008-08-27 06:45:31 UTC
It's not really that easy to reproduce, I'm sad to say. Maybe 1 in 10 times on an XP system

Lets mark it as low, since a web refresh takes care of it.

This has been an issue since 7.0 beta. But I've never been able to reproduce. I really don't know what to do with this.

change 23029 - IE seems to call the resize function really early, then crashes on some missing elements. Add a sanity check before trying to resize them.

I really hope this is it. Ran into this issue for the first time when testing IE8 (which luckily enough has some powerful developer's tools).

This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter!

Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already.

If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.

Reduce number of active targets for SC
