Description Mark Lanctot 2008-08-22 10:51:27 UTC
I cancel my alarms using the front panel power button while the alarm is playing (bell icon flashing).

Most of the time it does what I expect (power off) but sometimes Boom powers on.

SqueezeCenter Version: 7.2 - 22834 @ Fri Aug 22 01:08:03 PDT 2008 - Debian - EN - utf8
Perl Version: 5.8.8 x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi
MySQL Version: 5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.1
Platform Architecture: x86_64-linux

Perhaps it believes the button was double-pressed? If so it's a little sensitive.

Let me know what debug flags to set to capture this.

Comment 3 Max Spicer 2008-08-23 02:14:07 UTC
I always cancel alarms using the front panel button and haven't seen this in this situtation. However, at many non-alarm times in the past (this is over the past few years) I've seen players get very confused about whether they're on or off and do what you say. I think it's often (but not always) been related to sync. Do you have synced players?
Comment 4 James Richardson 2008-08-23 17:51:55 UTC
I have seen this with Synced players only, and it has nothing to do with alarms.

Many times, I'll have player A off, and player B on. Go to play a song in and both players will play, yet A will remain "off"
Comment 5 Chris Owens 2008-08-25 09:19:14 UTC
player.source player.sync logs might be useful
Comment 6 Mark Lanctot 2008-08-26 05:35:04 UTC
I have no synched players.

I will turn on player.source debugging - but not player.sync because I'm not synching.

The issue happened again this morning.
Comment 7 Max Spicer 2008-08-26 05:46:04 UTC
Forgive me for stating the obvious, but could you please also confirm that you've got all 3rd-party plugins disabled?
Comment 8 Mark Lanctot 2008-08-26 05:58:09 UTC
I have only one 3rd party plugin, IRBlaster. It's obviously not active for Boom (doesn't appear in the player settings menu) but I'll disable it for now.
Comment 9 Mark Lanctot 2008-08-28 10:32:03 UTC
Don't close this one out yet - it happened again this morning, but unfortunately I had Internet problems and my log filled up with messages about not being able to find a DNS server, etc.
Comment 10 James Richardson 2008-09-17 11:32:58 UTC
Moving the bug to the monitor group. Let me know if you are able to reproduce it again Mark, make sure you attach a log with some data in it.
Comment 11 James Richardson 2008-10-02 07:38:05 UTC
Moving monitor bugs
Comment 12 James Richardson 2009-09-15 18:29:08 UTC
Marc: is this still reproducible with 7.4?
Comment 13 Mark Lanctot 2009-09-15 19:21:27 UTC
No, hasn't happened in a long while. OK to close!
