Description Chris Owens 2008-08-22 08:29:34 UTC
I suspect that the fact that Rhapsody has the concept of 'My Library' and SqueezeCenter also has the concept of the local library may be confusing to some users, but I haven't heard any reports of this from tech support.

This bug has been set up to gather information about this problem for a future fix. Please add any experiences or ideas you may have!

Indeed a distinction that made sense before external music services were integrated into SC 7.0 is now confusing:

In SN menu we have
-- Music Library
  -- MP3tunes Music Locker
  -- Rhapsody Library

In SC menu we have
-- Music Library
  -- Artists
  -- Albums
  -- etc.

Considering the 7.0 enhancements, it is a bit strange that the Music Library entities are completely different beasts in SC and SN.

Perhaps the SC menu should be changed to

-- Music Library
  -- MP3tunes Music Locker
  -- Rhapsody Library
-- Local Library <-- entry point to local library's artists, albums, etc.

However while this menu hierarchy suggestion might make sense for users with external music sources, those that use SC strictly for local music could find the additional menu navigation annoying.
