Description Matt Wise 2008-08-14 14:44:21 UTC
Right now when I use Bitrate limiting to transcode my FLAC files to MP3 (for remote playback) I can click on a section of the song in the progress bar to try to fast forward to that point. When I do this it just ends the song and moves on to the next one...

That should be disabled completely for any transcoded songs....

This is a web UI problem, right Matt?
Comment 2 Matt Wise 2008-08-14 21:26:07 UTC
I guess its a bug in the Web UI -- but because the system is transcoding. I wasn't sure where to assign it...
Comment 3 Michael Herger 2008-08-14 21:31:16 UTC
Alan - is there a way I can know whether a track is transcoded from the "status" query? We might need to add this.
Comment 4 Alan Young 2008-08-14 22:28:20 UTC
This is fixed in new-streaming, where transcoded seeking works just fine.

I'm not sure why it fails now - maybe the WebUI does not check canSeek before trying to seek (it is deliberate that that is a UI check and not done in the actual seek code).
Comment 5 Michael Herger 2008-08-15 00:24:23 UTC
NS should be part of 7.3? That would greatly simplify fixing this bug :-).
Comment 6 Alan Young 2008-08-29 02:58:43 UTC
Fixed by new-streaming changes in 7.3
Comment 7 James Richardson 2008-12-15 12:06:09 UTC
This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter!

Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already.

If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.
