Description James Craig 2005-03-02 07:02:46 UTC
This is a bit of a complicated one but basically the selections that appear in
the default skin when browsing the database do not seem consistent.
For example, under 'Browse Artists' the first option is 'All Albums'. Shouldn't
this be 'All Artists'.
Under Browse Genres, the first option is 'All Artists' - I would expect 'All Genres'
Under 'Browse Songs', the 'All Songs' link goes directly to 'Browse Genres'

this is a bit of a legacy thing. Each of these refer to all of the items that
were next in the heirarchy. Perhaps now a global "play all" link is all that's
needed.

A plain 'All' link at the top would be a start.

These links should now be working as far as consistent results. 'All Songs'
actually goes to all songs :)

Historically, the naming refers to all elements of the next level lower in the
hierarchy. Browse Artist - if you pick any artist, you get a list of albums at
the next level, so the all link is 'all albums'. This should be consistent now.

Decision regarding a design change to a generic 'all' would fall to Dean

I'm good with the way it's working now.
