Description Orrin Charm 2008-08-11 12:13:04 UTC
I have several SB1 units that I use as remote displays to let me know what tracks are playing on my main system.

They have worked fine, although synchronizing the music seems to seriously impact system performance.

Now, with SqueezeNetwork, I am no longer able to sync these units!

I don't need to sync the audio- in fact, I'd prefer to NOT stream audio to all the remote displays, to minimize network traffic, since they don't have speakers attached anyway.

Can you upgrade the firmware to allow them to get just the metadata from other SB units that are connected to SqueezeNetwork?

Thank you!

er, Dean, how is SB1 going to deal with a player that's connected to SqueezeNetwork?
Comment 2 Michael Herger 2008-08-13 05:16:06 UTC
no critical issue. Rather an enhancement or invalid...
Comment 3 Blackketter Dean 2008-08-13 07:12:18 UTC
Orrin: Squeezebox can't connect to SqueezeNetwork, it just doesn't have the processing power to support the direct internet connection.

If I've misunderstood the request, please reopen the bug with details. Thanks.
