would be nice if we could support text WEP passwords.  For example the
encryption menu could have the following options:

40/64-bit WEP encryption (Hex Key)
  128-bit WEP encryption (Hex key)
40/64-bit WEP encryption (Text Password)
  128-bit WEP encryption (Text Password)
 WPA Personal encryption (Private Shared Key)

One issue is that the Airport config software uses a different algorithm to go
from text password to hex key. Other vendors seem to be more consistent (using MD5).

given that, this would probably be a very worthless enhancement.  it would
create more harm than good...
