Description Matt Wise 2008-08-08 14:48:38 UTC
Now that we have the ability to have one Slider on the Jive UI screen for settings, I think we should be able to have multiple. It makes more sense from a user perspective to go to (for example) 'Audio Settings' screen and see all of the available sliders in one place.

Ideally you could scroll right and left to go up and down, then press the Center button to select a slider and adjust it it. The center button would then work as "unselect" to go back to scrolling up and down...

something to consider...

Brian,
Have you had any time to try to mock this up? I think this would greatly reduce the complexity of our settings menus..

Is now a better time to look into this as a possible feature for Jive 7.4 (or 8.0?)
Comment 5 Weldon Matt 2009-08-07 11:43:02 UTC
It's way late to get this into 7.4. Maybe 8.0, but at the moment that's a moving target...

The interaction (and graphics) to pull this off are more complex than you might think, but I agree it's a good (and overdue) idea, especially when we look to improve our syncing UI...

Great, just wanted to get it onto the plate somewhere... :)
Comment 7 Weldon Matt 2009-10-04 18:56:22 UTC
So what feature would this be for? Syncing?
Comment 8 Matt Wise 2009-10-04 19:02:54 UTC
Actually I was thinking the Bass/Treble page specifically when I
opened this bug. Rather than going in and adjusting bass, then going
back, then down, then forward to get to Treble. I think this
capability would really improve other menus as well ... though I cant
come up with any examples ATM.
