Description Joseph Gwozdz 2008-08-05 09:16:37 UTC
I was trying to use the alarm from my boom and I used the jive to try and turn it off. It attempted to connect to my Squeezecenter which i had not turned on yet and got confused and I eventualy had to do a factory reset on the boom itself. Is the boom not designed to have the primary functions work without the squeezecenter turned on?

Boom alarm will trigger without SqueezeCenter (at least, that's the design), but the Controller cannot talk to Boom without SqueezeCenter. Controller talks to SqueezeCenter ONLY, and then SqueezeCenter talks to Boom. They cannot link directly. If there is no running instance of SqueezeCenter, you're stuck with the IR remote or the front panel buttons on boom
