Bugzilla – Bug 9029
Aiff File does not play.
Last modified: 2009-07-31 10:26:29 UTC
I have a customer who sent me the attatched file. The file does not play on the SB3 or the Transporter. When I press play in SC is acts as though it is playing the file but the Transporter or the SB3 does not show anything. The time bar on the player does not move. This file plays fine via iTunes, Foobar, Windows Media Player. The file was created using DBPowerAmp. Not too sure if this is an issue with the file or our software.
Created attachment 3740 [details] AIff file.

MOV123?
Steven: Can you take a look at this?
Turns out flac is producing an error with the attached file: ERROR: SSND chunk size inconsistent with sample frame count No idea what this error means. Andy, do you have any thoughts? One workaround would be to disable AIFF to FLAC under settings, advanced, file types.
DBPowerAmp must be generating invalid AIFF files. The user should repair his file or manually encode to FLAC. I tested ripping a track to AIFF using iTunes and it works just fine with our current FLAC transcoding.
