What exact features are we going to add?

- Alarm
- Line In
- Bass/Treble?
- StereoXL?

Comment 2 Michael Herger 2008-08-06 08:04:54 UTC
change 4289 (SN), change 22409 (SC/Slimservice) - add alarm on SN
Comment 3 Michael Herger 2008-08-06 08:46:05 UTC

will start working on line in/out as soon as FW23 is out

Please re-open if you think we need to add line in/out support to SN.

I am unable to "save" an alarm using the SN Web UI. When I click save alarm, I get a dialog box "Saved preferences for BOOM:04:A4" however the change is never sent to the Boom, or reflected on the web ui

Andy - is slimservice on boom.sn.com up to date?
Comment 7 Andy Grundman 2008-08-12 11:07:36 UTC
I last updated it over the weekend. I don't want to disrupt Rhapsody testing.
Comment 8 Michael Herger 2008-08-13 04:31:11 UTC
change 4315 - fix adding/deleting alarms from the web UI.

I'm sorry, I completely forgot these two features.

Unable to verify or test till bug 9133 is addressed

I can now ADD alarms, but am not able to REMOVE the alarm.

I put a check mark in the box, click OK but the alarm never goes away. it just stays.

Even refreshing the web browser still shows all the alarms I have st.

NOW, on the Player UI, the date/time is overlapping the Alarm ICON too.

change 4326 - You must be using 12h am/pm time format. It's been working in 24h only :-/. Please test again - thanks!

The problem was when to trigger addition of a new alarm. In SC we have a text input field - if it's not null, we add an alarm. In SN we have a drop down with values for hh/mm. I've now added an empty value (!=0). As soon as some value (even 0) is selected, an alarm is added.

This shows once again that we need to re-do the SN skin. It's stupid having to implement this twice, using two different web UIs. And it's confusing to the user as well.

There's still one issue, though: when removing the last alarm, slimservice doesn't update properly. This needs to be fixed on the SC/slimservice side.

I've opened a new bug 9143 which covers updating the alarms on the player. Right now you can delete alarms from SN's web UI, but they won't be deleted from the player's menu and state. And it's not only for the last alarm - none is removed from the player.
Comment 13 Michael Herger 2008-08-14 02:14:23 UTC
change 22601 (SC) should have fixed this.
Comment 14 James Richardson 2008-08-27 21:06:54 UTC
Verified all the new Features are there.

On SN they are drop down boxes and on SC they are sliders with input boxes.
