Description Kevin Pearsall 2005-03-01 12:42:54 UTC
signal strength either very low or grossly under-reported or something.

- 35% seems to be the highest i can get with the antenna actually touching the
airport extreme)

- also seems to perform well (no dropouts w/flac) with signal strength reported
as low as 3-4%

- seen with firmware 4 and svn sb2 branch.

heh, I can't get above 11 or 12%, it doesn't change even when I remove the
external antenna (perhaps external isnt working on mine)

the connector is also a touch warm.
Comment 2 KDF 2005-03-18 01:17:55 UTC
should I be worried about a display in setup showing a wireless network with
219-255% strength??
Comment 3 Kevin Pearsall 2005-03-21 10:35:56 UTC
802.11he-man. The most powerful wireless network in the UNIVERSE.

I haven't seen the strength here go nearly that high, in fact I still haven't
seen it go past about 55% here... What sort of hardware are you using there?
Comment 4 Blackketter Dean 2005-03-21 13:59:52 UTC
Should be fixed in the next nightly. Range is now 1 to 100%. Linearity is not guaranteed, but we're
looking for details on the quality number from our vendor. Please confirm.
