Description Mark Lanctot 2008-07-29 10:09:27 UTC
Selecting "All Alarms: Off" from the player UI deactivates the alarm clock icon but some alarms still activate.

I checked and of the three alarms I had set, 6 AM Mon - Fri, 6:20 AM Mon - Fri and 7:45 AM Mon - Fri, only alarm 3 was turned off. The other two had to be turned off individually.

SqueezeCenter Version: 7.2 - 22185 @ Tue Jul 29 01:05:59 PDT 2008 - Debian - EN - utf8
Perl Version: 5.8.8 x86_64-linux-gnu-thread-multi
MySQL Version: 5.0.51a-3ubuntu5.1
Platform Architecture: x86_64-linux

Log attached. This is where I selected all alarms off, checked them and found that this time none had been deactivated, then I set all alarms on and made sure each was activated again.

Max, could you have a look at this one? Thanks!

Mark, did the alarms actually go off once you had set all alarms to Off? All Alarms Off simply stops the alarms from going off. It does not turn each individual alarm off in the ui. If you have three alarms all set to On and then set All Alarms to Off, the expected behaviour is that each alarm will still show as On. However, none of them will sound.

Please confirm whether you still think this is a bug i.e. an alarm did sound with All Alarms set Off. If so, could you provide steps to reproduce?

If this is still happening, it needs to get fixed for 7.2.

Mark: Any news?

Can anyone else confirm this bug? Could we get QA to test?
Comment 6 Mark Lanctot 2008-08-06 08:18:23 UTC
Yes, the alarm still sounded with all alarms set to Off.

Some individual alarms in the UI were set to Off and the bell icon disappeared, but the alarm still sounded.

I'll try to reproduce it later this afternoon.

Okay, that definitely shouldn't happen. When you change the state it reschedules all alarms, which in turn cancels any already scheduled alarm. When all alarms are off, no alarm should get scheduled. Please enable alarm clock debugging before you try and reproduce it and then post the log. Thanks!

My test alarm I set this morning did sound when "All Alarms" was set to "off".

Steps I used to reproduce:

- schedule an alarm for 4:10 PM

- set "All Alarms" to "off", first on web UI, verified on player UI. Alarm clock icon still activated.

- at 4:10, the screen woke up, the alarm clock icon blinked

- a few seconds later, the player started to play

Log attached.

Ah, good catch. It was broken when being changed by the web interface. Should be fixed in change 22456.

Confirmed.

I am glad you could get that log file Mark. I tinkered with it some last night and was unable to duplicate my issue. I will try again tonight or tomorrow morning though to see if it ends up the same.
