Description Philip Meyer 2008-07-25 15:44:41 UTC
When dragging playlist items to reorder, the mouse pointer image changes according to what the mouse is hovering over, instead of always being a move icon when dragging.

ie. the pointer changes to a four-way arrow when dragging is initiated, but it changes when the mouse is over a link (text or artwork image) to a hand icon.

Can't find a way around this. Must be buried somewhere in ExtJS.
Comment 2 Chris Owens 2008-07-28 09:48:02 UTC
Michael says maybe this will be fixable after a newer version of ExtJS

Punting skin related issues as the web UI should see another overhaul post 7.4.

This and another issue was just brought up in the forums:

http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81043

It's not only a matter of the mouse pointer icon. But whether or not the item can be dragged at all depends on where you click in the playlist item.

What I and another user have observed is that when artwork is hidden, you cannot grab the item if you click either on the track title link or the album name links. With artwork shown, however, it appears that you can grab anywhere within the playlist item. (I'm testing with a recent 7.5 trunk checkout).

This can make using drag & drop for playlist ordering rather fiddly.

Jim - please file a new bug for the broken grabbing. That's a real bug breaking functionality, while the pointer changing is a minor issue. Thanks!
