Description Julius Dauz 2008-07-25 12:44:28 UTC
We would like to give our tier one team limited access to the Squeezenetwork admin page. They will only need the following tools:

Be able to Activate a new user account.

Be able to generate a new password for a user.

Be able to Look up a player by MAC address and delete the player from a user's account.

Please let me know if you need any specific information.

Andy notes that this kind of role-based admin would require considerable work. We need to understand the priorities of this enhancement.

Comment 2 Dan Evans 2008-07-28 14:57:30 UTC
Requests to activate accounts, reset passwords, or investigate players currently accounts for 20% of the calls and e-mails getting escalated up to Tier-2. (of 292 escalations in July, 103 of those were SqueezeNetwork related, and of those 59 dealt with account or player issues.)

Providing Tier-1 with the tools to tackle these requests will free up a lot of Tier-2's time and resources.

Also as part of this, need to add a way to grant non-US users access to US-only services without making them beta users.

Done.

Dan: I am not going to migrate any access levels other than setting yourself to the 'tier2' role. You can assign roles to your team as needed. Please give this a try on www.test.squeezenetwork.com.

For now, /admin will still popup the old auth prompt, but this will go away after launch.
