I think the solution to bug 7622 looks good. However, it makes it even more noticeable that the text on the top line and underneath the "x of y" extends past the right edge of the VFD.

Could you add the "..." on the end of the line when this happens?

I saw this with Internet Radio->Radio IO and some of my own tracks with long artist names.
