Description Felix Mueller 2008-07-25 01:27:26 UTC
The offline alarm sound currently is just a sine tone from DSPs sine generator.
Comment 1 Felix Mueller 2008-07-25 01:28:34 UTC
I need some assistance on how to implement a nicer alarm sound. Thanks
Comment 2 Caleb Crome 2008-07-25 11:23:13 UTC
How about we just use the ray multi-tone audio test? Maybe tweak with the timings?

Alarm sounds aren't supposed to be nice. :-) I haven't yet heard the offline sound, but wouldn't it make sense to have it sound something like an electronic alarm clock?

Felix: Wasn't this work done?
Comment 5 Felix Mueller 2008-08-07 01:28:37 UTC
Caleb added the multi-tone sequence from Ray as offline alarm, but he was thinking of adding a short mp3 that loops instead. I don't know if that is still his plan or if there is still time to do so.
Comment 6 Chris Owens 2008-08-11 10:06:29 UTC
Felix wants to try to figure out how to play a short looped wav.
Comment 7 Blackketter Dean 2008-10-09 09:22:49 UTC
I prefer Rooster Crow or Wind Chimes. Rooster Crow might be a little harsh...

Recording of my digital alarm

Here's my annoying digital alarm, I recorded the volume ramp-up it does from soft to loud.
Comment 9 Felix Mueller 2008-11-04 03:46:28 UTC
Moving out bug that won't make it for 7.3
Comment 10 Felix Mueller 2008-11-06 09:33:12 UTC
Doh, there will be no 7.4 - moving it to 8.0
Comment 11 Alan Young 2010-05-07 10:19:58 UTC
All new Squeezebox products are likely to be based on the SqueezePlay platform.
We do not plan to implement any further enhancements to the ip3k firmware or
which are targeted specifically at ip3k-based products.
