Bugzilla – Bug 8850
SqueezeTray.pl should use utf8 encoded strings.txt file
Last modified: 2009-07-31 10:25:14 UTC
PerlTray - the tool used to create SqueezeTray didn't support utf8 up to v7.1. We therefore had to treat its strings.txt file with care, not to break encoding. PerlTray 7.2 now does support utf8. Time to at last move strings.txt to utf8.
change 22051 - add utf8 support to SqueezeTray QA - please test the tray icon with languages other than EN, to verify the non-latin character stuff. I'll add the nordic languages next - they come with a lot of odd characters to test with ;-)
This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter! Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already. If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.
