Bugzilla – Bug 8830
Account Data not filled in automaticaly
Last modified: 2008-08-15 14:47:08 UTC
When signing up a new account, data collected during the sign up wizard is not automatically posted to the Account Creation page. I.E. Name from sign up should be poked into all Name Fields Email should be poked into Email Fields Etc. Etc.
Currently the Premium Services have the following behavior Pandora, Only the Email Address is populate Slacker, nothing is populated Rhapsody, N/A SIrius, N/A MP3Tunes, Email and Name are populated
The Non Premium services have the following behavior Last.FM, nothing is populated Live365, nothing is populated RadioIO, nothing is populated RadioTime, nothing is populated
Are the non Premium services part of the plan? They're not in the wizard, there's nothing to subscribe to. Or did I miss something?
I was reporting from a QA point of view, for thoroughness. As to the plan, I'll leave that up to others to decide
I checked the premium services again (lack of player Rhapsody and Sirius failed): > Pandora, Only the Email Address is populate That's fine. Don't see more than this in my regular account (on production www.sn.com) > Slacker, nothing is populated Working for me (screenshot to follow), mail only. Though this seems like a bug, as I shouldn't be allowed to subscribe from Switzerland. Or are they only blocking on regular accesses? > Rhapsody, N/A > SIrius, N/A Failed - lack of player > MP3Tunes, Email and Name are populated working fine
Created attachment 3639 [details] mp3tunes working
Created attachment 3640 [details] pandora ok
Created attachment 3641 [details] Slacker ok
As there's now a feedback page after account activation/service subscription, could you please run the test with the premium services again? This might help us understand what (if at all ;-)) is going wrong with your subscription, as it seems to be ok for me.
James - I think Rhapsody failing might be due to their using the player's MAC address as ID. Once it's been registered, you can't register again. Andy - please correct me if I'm wrong. Sirius: I'm getting errors too. I got "There was an error creating the free trial, please try again later. (Invalid response code: 500)". But in my case it might be due to the fact that I'm outside the US or something?
Andy - could you please comment on my suspicion about Rhapsody failing because this player had been registered before (see comment #10)? Thanks.
change 4131 - fix Rhapsody subscription: it needs to be activated ("accept") after subscription
I consider this fixed. Feel free to re-open if needed.
This is working as far as I am concerned as well, will need Marketing to validate and re-open if they have issues with the information that is passed to the premium services.
This bug is being closed since it was resolved for a version of SqueezeNetwork which is now released! If you are still seeing this bug, please re-open it and we will consider it for a future release.
