Description James Richardson 2008-07-15 10:16:57 UTC
Installing 7.0.1 over 7.1 (without uninstalling 7.1 first) will result in a corrupted SC install on Windows XP/Vista.

When attempting to run SC, IE will error out with "Out of Memory" errors and SC will not launch properly. It appears that some files are over written with 7.0.1 while Scanner & squeezecenter .exe files are not. This will result in a corrupted install of SC.

Technical Support should be aware of this issue, since it's a 7.0.1 issue ONLY and won't be fixed. If customers wish to revert to 7.0.1 they will need to manually uninstall 7.1 first.

NOTE: installing 7.1 over 7.2 functions properly as 7.1 has code to handle this.
