Description Andy Grundman 2008-07-09 16:09:38 UTC
Users using fixed digital volume may also have analog connections and will be blasted with 100 volume after upgrading. We need to figure out what to do, such as disabling the pref if it's set and setting volume back to 50.

Ugh. I'm at a loss here. I guess that this is the best we can do.

andy: can you turn off this setting for all users and reset the volume control.

This is a really ugly solution, but I can't see any alternative apart from rolling back the firmware change in SB2/3.
