Description Mickey Gee 2008-07-09 13:17:53 UTC
Feedback from tester was that the tone controls do not change the characteristics of the sound enough to be very noticeable.

In talking about it with Caleb, he said that the bass and treble controls are at 100 Hz and 8000 Hz, respectively with a +-12 db change. This allows the user to tweak the sound for minor frequency anomalies and without distortion. However, other users may prefer tone controls that tailor the frequency response.

QA to retest

Perhaps the user had the older FW, version 12. This would cause the tone controls to do NOTHING :-)

Currently, the +- 12dB on the tone controls is almost a ridiculous amount of tone control. Way too much for me :-) But if we really have a need for more, we can do it. The tradeoff is that it will cause distortion in the bass if we try to boost it too much.

Let's let the current settings sit for a while, and see if there are any more complaints about this.
