Bugzilla – Bug 8675
SBC 7.1 doesn't use (known) http-auth settings anymore
Last modified: 2011-03-16 04:39:10 UTC
For some time (at most a few weeks) the SBC (7.1 r2674 as of today) doesn't use the previously entered HTTP-Auth credentials after a power cycle. Although I can see they're stored at /usr/share/jive/applets/HttpAuth/settings.lua. After the SBC has been powered up, the menu consists of - settings - choose player "choose player" displays my SC servername, which will then prompt for username/pw on each start. After providing those two, everything works fine. SBC and SC are on different IP-Networks.
Markus: can you re-verify this with 7.1-21630 build
i've updated the SBC (7.1-2681) and SC (7.1-21668) On startup i see the circle spinning "connecting to <player>" (i think this has changed). But it doesn't connect (waited for 5 minutes), so eventually i use the back button to get to menu. I now have to use Choose Player -> -> Enter User/PW to see and use my players again.
i forgot: did a factory reset, too. Doesn't help either.
Richard thinks some of his recent work may have caused this.
fixed in r2692
confirmed. thanks!
