Description Bruno Fernandes 2008-07-07 09:52:50 UTC
Product:
SqueezeCenter Version: 7.1 - 21030 @ Mon Jun 23 01:40:13 PDT 2008 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

Problem:
Using Safari 3.1.1 in Mac OS 10.5.x, clicking on the Album cover thumbnail of an Album Info page will cause the browser to download "cover.jpg" instead of viewing that cover in a new window/tab as it used to.

The download window comes up and the cover.jpg file will be saved to your download folder.

Regression:
This problem does not occur in Firefox 3 nor Camino 1.5, two Mozilla-based browsers.

Happens with all 7.x versions of Squeeze Center as far as I'm aware (7.0, 7.01 and 7.1)

Still happening with SqueezeCenter Version: 7.1 - 21576 @ Tue Jul 8 01:04:57 PDT 2008 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252

Confirmed this error only happens with Safari

FF / IE / Opera all open a new browser window/tab instead of downloading.

Verified 7.0.1 & Safari does the same thing

change 21743 - Safari doesn't like the MIME type image/jpg - make sure we always use image/jpeg
Comment 5 Bruno Fernandes 2008-07-14 15:24:42 UTC
Thanks for the fix. I thought it was probably the media type declaration. It makes sense since image/jpg isn't a valid mime type. It probably works in the other browsers as some sort of quirks mode behavior.
