Description Bart 2005-02-25 05:18:57 UTC
If I am playing a track and I click on the album link in the Player playlist
then I am taken to the album page but it only shows the tracks by that artist
although in this case I probably want to see the whole album:
Home / Browse Artists / Vera Coomans / Ne Me Quitte Pas
1 album with 1 song by 1 artist.

If I Browse Albums then I see the whole album:
Home / Browse Albums / Ne Me Quitte Pas
1 album with 19 songs by 18 artists.

However - I tried it with another album with multiple artists and it shows the
whole album both ways
Home / Browse Albums / Vanthology - A Tribute To Van Morrison
1 album with 15 songs by 15 artists.

is this with all skins?
Comment 2 Bart 2005-02-25 10:15:22 UTC
This is with the default skin.
With Fishbone I can't see how to Browse Albums, clicking on Home takes me to
Browse Artists, Exbrowse2 justs sits there saying "Loading..." until I kill
the process (the keyboard shortcuts work though), Exbrowse also just gives me
Browse Artists.
If I could see how to Browse Albums I would try Fishbone.

The pulldown menu in the top left corner under the 'home' link should allow you
to select browse artist, browse album, browse year, new music, browse artwork
and browse genre. if you have playlist dir defined, then you get browse
playlist and if you have music folder defined, you get browse music folder as well.

Using Fishbone I see the pulldown menu in the top left corner under the 'home'
link but it does nothing - whatever I select it just shows Browse Artists (in
Internet Explorer in Windows). In Mozilla on my Redhat machine it shows
Browse Music Folder and the dropdown menu also has no effect.

I suggest you contact support@slimdevices.com. This is very abnormal.

With today's build 27 Feb I am able to use the dropdown menu in Fishbone.
If the menu problem does not reoccur I am going to put it down to something in
my installation of 26 Feb build.
The behaviour of not showing the full album is still there and is repeatable.
To produce the problem:
Browse to an artist who appears on a multi-artist album,
Select a track by that artist on the multi-artist album,
Click on the Albumname link,
You are taken to a page which only shows that artists tracks on the album.
Now, Browse Albums,
Select the multi-artist album,
You are taken to a page showing all the artists on the album.

Bart - does this still happen for you in the recent nightlies?

With or without MusicMagic?
Comment 8 Bart 2005-03-12 02:44:49 UTC
It is still there and repeatable, with and without MusicMagic.
However now that I look at it again it does not seem to be such a problem -
you are able to click on the albumname link to see the whole album. Perhaps I
missed that the first time (or perhaps my Title formating prevented the
albumname link from working as I expected)

Ok - I will consider this fixed and close the bug. Please reopen if needed.
