Description Mickey Gee 2008-06-26 15:04:16 UTC
With Boom connected to SqueezeCenter, the user is still being prompted on the SC screen to press the brightness button to update firmware.

Using SC 7.2 21169 Thu Jun 26

Should we get rid of this message all together or just for Boom & Ray?

Problem is even if Boom is set to auto update by default, users can change this. On the server side I don't know whether it will update automatically or not. Thus all I can do is make this message depend on the player type - which imho might be ok, as only very few users will disable auto update. I just want to be sure what you want.

change 21263 - don't display the upgrade message in the web UI if the player is already upgrading.

Please note that this is not the perfect solution, but a reasonable workaround, as SC doesn't know whether a player can auto update or not. Limitations:

- the web UI might look ready to be used, while the player is still upgrading

- if you open the web UI the very second SC decides a player needs an upgrad and the player has not started yet, then you'll still see the message.

Please reopen if you still see the message without trying to achieve the above ;-).
