Description James Richardson 2008-06-20 14:12:57 UTC
Found when investigating bug 8150
--------
Adding a player to an existing "sync" list while playing rhapsody will result in that player not having any audio output.

steps to reproduce
1) Attach 4 players to SC
2) Sync 2 players
3) Start a Rhapsody stream
4) Verify audio is on synced players
5) Add a 3rd player to the synced players list

Notice that Rhapsody will stop the stream, sync to all 3 players, then start the stream again. HOWEVER, audio will only be on the first player in the sync list, the other 2 players will display they are playing the proper stream , but no audio out.

6) Stop the Rhapsody stream
7) play a non Rhapsody stream (RadioIO), verify all 3 players in the sync group have audio out
8) Start the Rhapsody stream again, now audio will be playing on all players in the sync group

You can also simulate the error by Stopping > Starting the rhapsody stream with out adding any more players
Comment 2 Andy Grundman 2008-06-21 07:07:48 UTC
I can't reproduce this.

Tested:
2 synced players:
* Pause/Unpause worked fine.
* Stop/Start worked fine.

3 synced players:
* Pause/Unpause worked fine.
* Stop/Start worked fine.
* Unsync one of them, fine.
* Resync that player back with the other 2. They all stop and restart the track fine.

Can you reproduce and get a log with:
plugin.rhapsodydirect, player.streaming.direct, player.source
Comment 3 James Richardson 2008-06-22 10:05:59 UTC
Which players did you test?

I used an SB3 & 2x Receiver. Having the SB3 as the 1st device in the sync list. Not that it should matter.

I'll repo this and get you the logs

Still can't reproduce, let's punt this to 7.2. New streaming will change all the code around this anyway.
Comment 6 James Richardson 2008-07-16 14:35:23 UTC
This appears to be fixed in

SqueezeCenter 7.1-21796
Controller 7.1 r2699
Receiver r36
SB2/3 r101
Transporter r49
Comment 7 James Richardson 2008-12-15 12:34:04 UTC
This bug has been fixed in the 7.3.0 release version of SqueezeCenter!

Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com/su_downloads.html if you haven't already.
