Bugzilla – Bug 849
double artist and composer shown
Last modified: 2008-09-15 14:37:04 UTC
in status_header.html i see the artist and composer twice: Artist: Iggy Pop Iggy Pop Composer: Iggy Pop , David Bowie Iggy Pop , David Bowie on the playlist header, the current song is shown as Lust For Life (Iggy Pop, Iggy Pop , David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Iggy Pop , David Bowie) - the format is set to Title (Artist) later this grows to triplicates eg: Lust For Life (Iggy Pop, Iggy Pop , David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Iggy Pop , David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Iggy Pop , David Bowie)
correction: i meant songinfo.html not status_header.html
Amusingly, today I have: Long Long Time from McGuinn, Clark & Hillman McGuinn, Clark & Hillman McGuinn, Clark & Hillman McGuinn, Clark & Hillman
It is now showing the artist four times (but not for every artist), giving: Gloria from Them Them Them Them Them Where it does not duplicate it shows "Trackname from Album by Artist", where it does repeat the "by" is missing Now, if only I had any tracks by The The...
the 25 Feb build seems to have cured this
So, should we be running 6.0a1 or continuing to download the nightly builds?
I still see this in the 25th feb build. Also, when the artist is correct you see "by ARIIST" but the 'by' disappears once the artists start duplicating.
Keeping up with the nightly builds will get you the latest bug fixes. I got in a lot of fixes on the 24th, unfortunately I've not been able to reproduce this one on my own.
I think I've fixed this in subversion change 2245. As I've not been able to reproduce it myself - I'd like some verification. You'll need to wipe the db. Not just rescan, but wipe.
Ben - can you verify that the latest nightly build fixes this problem for you? Thanks.
yes, it's been fixed for me since 25.2 build, still ok in version 2267
There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
