Description Ben Gladstone 2005-02-24 00:26:55 UTC
in status_header.html i see the artist and composer twice:
 Artist: Iggy Pop Iggy Pop
Composer: Iggy Pop , David Bowie Iggy Pop , David Bowie

on the playlist header, the current song is shown as
Lust For Life (Iggy Pop, Iggy Pop , David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Iggy Pop , David Bowie)
- the format is set to Title (Artist)

later this grows to triplicates eg:
Lust For Life (Iggy Pop, Iggy Pop , David Bowie, Iggy Pop, Iggy Pop , David
Bowie, Iggy Pop, Iggy Pop , David Bowie)

correction: i meant songinfo.html not status_header.html

Amusingly, today I have: Long Long Time from McGuinn, Clark & Hillman McGuinn,
Clark & Hillman McGuinn, Clark & Hillman McGuinn, Clark & Hillman
Comment 3 Bart 2005-02-25 02:41:42 UTC
It is now showing the artist four times (but not for every artist), giving:
Gloria from Them Them Them Them Them
Where it does not duplicate it shows "Trackname from Album by Artist", where
it does repeat the "by" is missing
Now, if only I had any tracks by The The...
Comment 4 Ben Gladstone 2005-02-25 03:01:40 UTC
the 25 Feb build seems to have cured this
Comment 5 Bart 2005-02-25 03:24:24 UTC
So, should we be running 6.0a1 or continuing to download the nightly builds?
Comment 6 James Craig 2005-02-25 09:12:26 UTC
I still see this in the 25th feb build.
Also, when the artist is correct you see "by ARIIST" but the 'by' disappears
once the artists start duplicating.
Comment 7 Dan Sully 2005-02-25 10:42:03 UTC
Keeping up with the nightly builds will get you the latest bug fixes.

I got in a lot of fixes on the 24th, unfortunately I've not been able to
reproduce this one on my own.
Comment 8 Dan Sully 2005-02-26 17:56:26 UTC
I think I've fixed this in subversion change 2245.

As I've not been able to reproduce it myself - I'd like some verification.

You'll need to wipe the db. Not just rescan, but wipe.
Comment 9 Dan Sully 2005-02-28 21:35:50 UTC
Ben - can you verify that the latest nightly build fixes this problem for you?

Thanks.
Comment 10 Ben Gladstone 2005-03-01 02:03:44 UTC
yes, it's been fixed for me since 25.2 build, still ok in version 2267
Comment 11 Chris Owens 2006-06-16 14:40:55 UTC
There are 536 bugs in the database with targets of '---' that were fixed prior to new year 2006. I am setting them to targets of 6.2.1 to keep them from showing up in my queries.
