Description Mikael Nyberg 2008-06-15 13:04:11 UTC
A small bug has appeared in the web UI when i try to switch my SB3 to SN via the SC7 this do not work anymore:

Symptom:

SC7.1 tries to redirect here: "http://squeezenetwork:9000/?player=00%3A04%3A20%3A06%3A42%3A42"
But i get a "Server not found" message and the switch never occur ?
theres some mystical 3A's in front of every number in what appears to be my players MAC ?

Switching with controller or ir remote works.

Switch back FROM SN via SC7.1 does work ?
And this works for both SB3 and SBR ?

As I have been told before, switching SC/SN with SqueezeCenter is only supported for the old players ? or is this changed to include the Reciever to ?

therefore it's strange that switchback works for reciever to ?

Oops I think i reported two bugs in one report :-/

Hi wile I'm at it.
it should be possible to switch the Receiver to SN with SC7.x only
To lock this feature to controller only is bad because:

1. It's possible to have SBR without controller.

2. There are other remotes, like iPhone (iPeng) Nokia 800, PDA's phones and whatnot's that resourceful users have managed the use over the years.

?!? While the main issue here is clearly a bug, Receiver isn't handled differently than the SB3. Switching SN/SC is only possible with "new" players (SB2+), but _not_ with old (SliMP3, SB1, SBG).

I was wrong: this indeed is disabled - see bug 7254. I hope we can get this fixed soon.

While it's possible, using a Receiver without a Controller is officially not supported. Receivers can be bought separately as an extension to a Duet.

change 20773 - fix switching to SN using the web interface (this does _not_ fix connecting a Receiver, which is covered by bug 7254)

This bug has now been fixed in the 7.1 release version of SqueezeCenter! Please download the new version from http://www.slimdevices.com if you haven't already.

If you are still experiencing this problem, feel free to reopen the bug with your new comments and we'll have another look.
