Description Philip Meyer 2008-06-14 05:50:04 UTC
I have gone to http://boomcat.squeezenetwork.com/user/account/lastfm and configured my account details. It's visible in the list of accounts, but says it needs authorisation:

Hergest (Authorize this account for Last.fm Radio access)

I have followed the link several times, which reports success, it still shows as needing authorisation.

I think I'm getting somewhere...

I was trying to configure my "Hergest" LastFM account from http://boomcat.squeezenetwork.com/user/account/lastfm. Following the link, I correctly logged into LastFM and authorised the account.

It appears that case is not significant in LastFM (I can log in as either hergest or Hergest), but SqueezeNetwork doesn't work when there are any capitals. I had more success when I configured another account "hergest".

SqueezeNetwork now reports:

Hergest (Authorize this account for Last.fm Radio access)
hergest (Authorized for Last.fm Radio)

However, when I try to use the LastFM music service, I still get:

Your Last.fm account is not yet authorized to use SqueezeNetwork. Please visit www.squeezenetwork.com to authorize access.

So I have configured both "Hergest" and "hergest" in three SqueezeNetwork sites:
boomcat.squeezenetwork.com, boom.squeezenetwork.com and www.squeezenetwork.com.

But it still doesn't work!

Should be fixed now, please try again.

The problem was when you had an existing mixed-case Last.fm account stored in SN. I fixed several case-sensitivity issues but not this one.

(BTW: boom and boomcat are the same server.)

Thanks - I can now enter LastFM account information in SqueezeNetwork and play LastFM streams.

However, I seem to have lost the equivalent Audioscrobbler account "Hergest" (probably when I deleted the lower-case "hergest" account), and I can't get SC to allow me to re-enter the "Hergest" account. The Advanced > AudioScrobbler plugin settings page allows me to enter the username and password and apply, and it says that it has stored the details, but it doesn't list the account, and I can't choose the account in the Player UI settings.

So now I'm playing music, but I can't scrobble!

Shouldn't the two items (scrobbling and Last.fm) be a single configuration?
