I started a thread[1] recording my Controller/SB3 tale of woe. I'd be grateful for any assistance helping diagnose the problem.

My Linksys WRT54GS WiFi network is solid and has been working for years with other WiFi devices, most recently (almost 3 years) Nokia Internet Tablets without any problems. The server is a Win2K3 server with no firewall or anti-virus, no SqueezeCenter security (no blocked ports/addresses, no authentication), yet Controller connectivity to SqueezeCenter and SqueezeNetwork is nigh on impossible.

Several logs are included in the thread[1] - I'm happy to collect more with suitable guidance! :) SqueezeCenter and Controller software is the latest released version 7.1.

Dan notes this happens with all versions of the firmware

Just to clarify, Dan notes this bug behavior is that the device connects okay to the network, but can't find the music source. So, the connection status is 'blue' for both the Receiver and Controller.

The failure happens at the point of setting up the Receiver, and the Controller reports that the connection failed. It would be interesting to know if, after that, the controller can 'see' the music source.

Mickey says he may be experiencing this, and has changed routers. He is using WEP 64. He says that using a static IP on the server fixes this problem.
