When choosing the “Group compilation albums together” option,  under Setting->Music Library, if I browse the controller to view Artists, the controller’s screen  shows the word  “Empty”.

Under Squeezecenter the album name does show up if we browse through "Music library->Artists->Various Artists" I could see the name of the album.
Which is different view from what the controller reporting?

this is really a SC architecture issue, and should be covered in the big schema rework in 7.3 (which IMO should really be called 8.0 because of the largess of this refactoring).

the fundamental issue here is that jiveUI, webUI, and playerUI all use different code bits to do their queries. Divergences abound.
