Description Mick 2008-06-02 13:01:29 UTC
Using the Hold+ button to add items to the top of the playlist results in the item being added as the 2nd item in the playlist instead of being placed at the top. So some offset has changed or perhaps playlists have changed from being 0 bound to 1 bound.

Steps to reproduce.
1) Clear the existing playlist, then add an album to the playlist.
2) Find either a single track or another album and try to add it to the top of the playlist by pressing & holding to the Add (+) key on either the remote or Jive.

The new items will be placed at position 2 in the playlist.

I'm seeing this with the latest Windows nightly. Tested using a Jive/Duet & a regular remote with an SB3.

I may be misreading this, but ADD normally places tracks at the end. Press-AND-HOLD add will place AFTER the current track (position 2 depending on your reference point)

hmmm...reading over this again I think this is working as designed.

add-hold is supposed to be "add after the current track". A playlist that is not playing still has a "current track", the first one. So add-hold adds the tracks after that track.

Depending on your point of view, that may be a bug, but I do think it's working as designed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that what you're expecting here is that there should be a special case: if a) your current track is track #1 and b) the track is not playing, then add-hold should add the tracks above track #1, not below.

Blimey, that was closed quickly.

Ben,
You are correct in your assumption.

I would have expected Add+Hold to add to the top of the list if nothing is playing.

So can we change this from a bug to an enhancement request.

Retargeting as an enhancement request
