Description Osama Zaidan 2008-05-28 21:05:02 UTC
Folder with “&” character as part of its name, is not browsable by the SB3.
If it is the main musical folder, it shows in the Squeezebox LCD screen as empty.
If it is contained under the main musical folder then it shows as Title and it is not browsable either.

Platform
Linux Debian and Ubuntu,
SC
Squeeze center 7.0.1

How did you succeed creating that folder name? & imho is an illegal character on Linux/Unix/OSX systems.

I renamed a folder escaping the ampersand character ("Saints\ \&\ Sinners"). This folder is browsing fine.

If you've created that folder using a Samba share, could you please tell me how it's looking form Linux' point of view (ls -l)?

Osama is this still a problem for your or one of your customers? It's impossible to reproduce so far. I'm likely to mark this as 'wontfix' based on Michael's comment.

Please reopen if there's a way to reproduce the problem.
