Firmware 9 connect to network and SC while set to German, boom connects and reboots but then SC is in English, firmware is still in German.

I don't think that is any different from other players, but I haven't tried.

Language settings in installer, firmware, SN, Controller, and SC are all independant. This is a feature, and per device language settings have been asked for and implemented for Controller already. More confusion is to be expected :-/.
