Description Brian Wright 2008-05-24 05:41:50 UTC
Request to provide a new feature - upgrade player command over the CLI interface or through the WEB.
Comment 1 Michael Herger 2008-05-25 11:33:40 UTC
why would you need to update the player over CLI?
Comment 2 Brian Wright 2008-05-26 04:10:29 UTC
The player is concealed from view in an audio rack and not accessible via the normal IR remote. The player and its features are run via a Philips Pronto remote via wifi and therefore there is no need to have access to the player interface except for updating.

Updating the player appears to be the only function not accessible from the Pronto remote that one generally needs to be able to do.

You can configure the SB to auto update if there's a new firmware available: go to the player's configuration (you'll need to do this with the IR remote), "current settings" and enable autoupdate.

Excellent, Thanks very much that will do the trick. I was unaware of that option.
